The operation was divided into five stretches, which involved the Piešťany and Nové Mesto nad Váhom railway stations (two stretches) and the Brunovce stopping point (one stretch); there were also two inter-station stretches. The upgrade included construction and restoration of the Horná Streda, Považany and Brunovce stopping points; there was also the construction of two new railway bridges over roads, the reconstruction of two existing railway bridges, six road overbridges including one bridging the stream of Dubová, the establishment of six new railway underpasses for passengers and the general public at the railway stops and stations, plus there were two underpasses as luggage tunnels. The purpose of this project was upgrading the existing railway line within the scope of the AGC and AGTC treaties.
