Slovak Railways, Upgrading the Žilina - Krásno nad Kysucou railway line2008-2011

The upgraded line consists of four stretches; of these, two are railway stations - Kysucké Nové Mesto and Krásno nad Kysucou - and two are inter-station stretches - Brodno, Rudina, Ochodnica and Dunajov. The reconstruction and upgrading action includes nine bridges, while there are two new road bridges and one new railway bridge; the works includes underpasses for passengers at the railway stations and two footbridges for pedestrians. Twelve at-grade crossings will also be developed. The purpose of the works is upgrading the existing railway line as being part of the European railway corridor No. VI and of the European Route E 40 and C-E within the scope of the AGC and AGTC treaties.
