D1 Mengusovce - Jánovce, km 8.000 to km 14.230 stretch2005-2008

The main route of this stretch presents a full-profile, D 26.5/100 category motorway following the end of the Mengusovce - Jánovce stretch, stage I, on km 8.000.

Bridges :
Parts of the project are permanent and temporary bridges. Overall, the designed bridges count 32, with the length varying from 3.17 m to 600.15 m. In terms of structures, the bridges vary in types depending on crossing roads or obstacles; yet there the effort to keep the framework diverse (rod prefabs, with a composite reinforced iron deck slab, continuous reinforced concrete structures, cast-in-place pre-stressed concrete, steel beams with a composite reinforced concrete bridge deck, or TUBOSIDER).

Resting sites :
Small-scale resting areas will be built within the project to the right and left. Called Batizovce, they will be located within the stretch between Svit - Podskalka and Batizovce and offer public toilets and wash rooms plus there will be refreshment facilities. Service lines of sewerage, tap water, electricity and telephone will be included.
