D1 Jablonov - Studenec motorway2009-2011

The D1 Jablonov - Studenec motorway connects directly to the Studenec - Behárovce motorway stretch. Unlike the Studenec - Behárovce stretch, the Jablonov - Studenec stretch is built as a half-profile road only. This stretch is the last one between Bratislava and Prešov that is procured by the National Motorway Company. The stretch as such starts by the Spišské Podhradie junction and continues parallel to the I/18 road. It ends close to the junction of roads I/18 and II/547 east of Spišské Podhradie. South of the motorway, there is a protected area of Sivá Brada. The works are to include eight bridges, of which seven are envisaged to be found directly on the motorway. Bridge 205 will be an exceptional work in that it is a 700-m long structure designed as an arched bridge to resemble the Gothic monuments of the region.
