A construction in the lower course of the Hron river. The reservoir consists of a three span weir 21 meters wide and a total retaining height of 7.5 meters. The retaining construction is made up of segments 5.4 meters high that are fitted with flaps with a height of 2,1 meters. The dams are made from materials from the irrigable area. The seals are made from a geotextile foil. On the left side of the weir is a small hydroelectric power station. A bridging (9.5 meters broad) leads through the weir and the power station. The retaining construction and dams provide a raise of the water surface, which created the reservoir with a surface area of 90 hectares for 2.6 milion m3 of retained water.
